Qualifications

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery and improve quality.
• Strong full-stack capability with a balance of backend and frontend skills.
• Ability to design responsive, performance-optimised interfaces and reusable frontend components.

Responsibilities

• Use AI development tools (Claude and equivalents) daily to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• Contribute to designing and building AI-powered features in Haven’s digital products.
• Design, build, and ship web applications from concept to production.
• Write clean, well-tested code and solve end-to-end problems.
• Collaborate across a multidisciplinary team to determine when software is ready to ship.
• Take ownership of production performance and reliability.
• Maintain documentation and share knowledge across the team.
• Improve NPS and customer scores through engineering choices.
• Support a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.

About the role

Haven Product & Technology are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to use Claude to ship resilient, well-crafted software and is genuinely excited about weaving AI-powered experiences into products used by millions of holidaymakers every year.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team writing clean, well-tested code that goes to production quickly and confidently. This is a high-impact role at the heart of a bold digital transformation. • Use AI development tools (Claude and equivalents) as part of your everyday workflow to accelerate delivery and raise quality
• Contribute to designing and building AI-powered features into Haven’s digital products
• Design, build and ship well-crafted web applications straight into production
• Write clean, resilient, well-tested code - end-to-end problem solving from concept through to production
• Collaborate across a multidisciplinary team to decide when software is ready to ship
• Take ownership of how what you build performs in production
• Maintain high-quality documentation and share knowledge freely
• Improve NPS and customer scores through great engineering choices
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and technical excellence
• Help shape how AI is adopted responsibly and effectively across the engineering team

What we’d like you to bring

• Fluency with or a strong desire to learn AI-assisted development tools and a track record of using them to work smarter, not just faster.
• Full-stack expertise with an equal bias towards backend and frontend
• Solid experience of building responsive designs, performance-optimised interfaces and best-in-class frontend components across a variety of third-party systems
• A core understanding of digital products (User cases, users, interactions) to build the right solution for the customer
• Comfort operating in a cloud-first environment
• A strong collaborative streak and a bias for shipping
