Job summary

Method-Resourcing seeks a backend engineer to design and build production-grade software for large-scale, complex systems in the IoT domain. The role requires owning features end-to-end from design through deployment, with strong unit testing and code review practices.

Candidates should have proven PHP and/or Python backend experience, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to influence technical decisions while collaborating with product and other engineering teams.

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience building reliable software in complex or regulated environments
• Confidence working across the full software development lifecycle
• Proven backend development experience using PHP and/or Python (or similar server-side languages)
• A quality-first mindset, including testing and operational awareness
• Experience guiding other engineers and influencing technical decisions
• Comfortable working with stakeholders outside of engineering
