Job summary

SF Partners in Manchester seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead new product development and AI innovation, partnering with the CTO to boost engineering efficiency through AI tooling. The role targets a Staff or Senior Engineer who can set technical direction in a fast-growing PaaS environment.

You will work in a hybrid setup with flexible hours and focus on delivering high-quality software in a collaborative, autonomous team culture. Location: Manchester.

Qualifications

• Full stack TypeScript and JavaScript experience (ideally Next.js, React and Node.js).
• Hands-on product engineering experience, ideally at Staff or Lead Engineer level within a product-focused environment.
• Strong AWS production experience.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation or similar.
• Cloud-native architecture and design skills.
• Strong AI tooling experience.
• A genuine delivery mindset - able to ship software as well as design solutions.
• Experience working within a Product or PaaS environment.

Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer with proven product engineering skills in full stack JavaScript, AI tooling and AWS in production is sought by a market-leading PaaS organisation based in central Manchester.

With recent investment, this Senior Software Engineer will play a crucial lead role in new product development and AI innovation, working closely with the CTO to 5x engineering efficiency using AI tooling. As a primary contributor, you will help move the dial on engineering output.

This role would suit a Staff or Senior Engineer with at least eight years' experience who is looking for the autonomy to set the technical direction of this high-growth, PE-backed company, while benefiting financially from the company's growth journey over the coming years.
