Job summary

Tact is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build AI-powered LegalTech products. You’ll own end-to-end development, collaborating with Product and Design to translate customer problems into robust software.

Senior Software Engineer (Agentic AI/LegalTech)

Up to £120K base salary + Benefits | Remote-first, with a London-based office.

An established LegalTech scale-up that's just raised £25 million, has hundreds of paying customers and has already processed over £1 billion through its platform.

The company builds AI products that automate complex financial, compliance and customer onboarding processes.

You'll join a small, talented engineering team where you'll have the freedom to make technical decisions, solve difficult problems and help shape how software gets built.

About the role

You'll help build AI products that solve real customer problems, working closely with Product and Design to understand what needs to be built and why.

You'll take ownership of the full development process, from initial requirements and architecture through to testing, deployment and improving products in production.

The team uses AI throughout software development, including Claude Code, Codex, spec-driven development, parallel coding agents and automated testing and reviews.

The aim is to spend less time writing code manually and more time solving difficult engineering problems, making good technical decisions and building useful products.

What we're looking for

• True Full-stack experience. You should be comfortable building software across the frontend and backend.
• AI-native development. You already use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar tools regularly and understand how to work effectively with coding agents.
• Product ownership. You have experience taking features or products from an initial idea through to production.
• Technical ability. You understand software architecture, testing and how to build reliable, maintainable systems.
• Product thinking. You enjoy working with Product and Design, understanding customer problems and deciding how best to solve them.
• Collaboration. You enjoy discussing ideas, reviewing code and working with other experienced engineers.

Having worked in an autonomous but collaborative setting before in a fast-paced environment will be a strong advantage

Technology

You don't need experience with these exact technologies. Strong full-stack engineering skills and the ability to learn new tools are more important.
