Job summary

Arrows is recruiting Senior and Lead .NET Engineers to join our growing technology consultancy. You will work across a range of complex client projects, taking genuine ownership of technical outcomes and contributing to architecture and engineering practices.

You will collaborate with clients and engineering teams, making sound technical decisions while maintaining strong engineering standards in testing, quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with .NET and C#.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and Terraform.
• Understanding of automated testing and modern software engineering.
• Experience across multiple programming languages or tech stacks.
• Proven leadership of engineers and ownership of technical outcomes.
• Lead Engineer/Staff Engineer experience is highly desirable.

We’re recruiting for a growing technology consultancy looking for experienced Senior and Lead .NET Engineers to join their team and work across a range of complex client projects.

This is an opportunity for engineers who want more than simply writing C#. You’ll be expected to bring strong .NET expertise while working across a broader technology landscape, taking genuine ownership of technical outcomes and contributing to architecture, delivery and engineering practices.

You’ll work closely with clients and engineering teams, helping to understand complex problems, make sound technical decisions and build effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality software solutions across complex client projects
• Work hands-on with .NET and C#, with a strong backend focus
• Take ownership of technical decisions and project outcomes
• Work with modern DevOps, CI/CD and Terraform practices
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction
• Lead, mentor and support other engineers
• Work directly with clients and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Challenge existing approaches and identify opportunities for technical improvement
• Adapt quickly to different client environments, technologies and business challenges
• Maintain strong engineering standards around testing, quality and delivery

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
• Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD and Terraform
• Good understanding of automated testing and modern software engineering practices
• Experience working across multiple programming languages or technology ecosystems
• Previous experience leading engineers and owning technical outcomes
• Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer or equivalent experience is highly desirable
• Consultancy experience or experience within a high-performing technology environment would be advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients and taking technical ownership

What we're looking for in a Lead / Senior Engineer

We’re looking for engineers who are genuinely hands-on and technically curious.

You should be comfortable entering a new environment, understanding the problem, making informed technical decisions and building the solution. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit purely at a high level or focus solely on one technology.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across varied projects, solve different technical challenges and have a meaningful impact on both delivery and the wider engineering team.

Working model

• Hybrid working within the UK
• Occasional travel into London required
• Ideally located within approximately 2 hours of London

£100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
