Job summary

Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic North London team operating in a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

You will drive software from concept through verification, with senior technical responsibility across design, development, testing and maintenance. Ideal candidates bring strong C++ experience, a track record in full SDLC delivery, and excellent communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience with C++.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong software engineering practices to develop software for new, innovative and commercially focused products and solutions.
• Support, maintain and enhance existing software in line with business and customer requirements.
• Take ownership of software development activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including: Specification, Design, Implementation, Testing, Verification, Maintenance
• Deliver assigned software projects and contribute to wider engineering activities as required.
• Provide technical guidance, support and advice to less experienced engineers.
• Act as a technical role model for junior members of the team.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and external partners on software-related matters where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices and engineering processes.

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join an established engineering software team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering software from preliminary specification through to verified implementation, while providing technical expertise across software design, development, testing and verification.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience working within a structured engineering or product development environment.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience with GUI/UX or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience developing software for complex technical, engineering or physical-world products.
