Job summary

HENSOLDT UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own software design from specification through verification. You will contribute to new products and enhance existing software, ensuring high quality and reliability for maritime radar systems.

Based in Enfield, North London, the role involves collaboration with customers and colleagues across the business. The ideal candidate has strong C++, experience with the full software lifecycle, and good communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of C++.
• Experience taking projects through the software development life cycle.
• Good English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Good understanding of Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• GUI/UX or HCI experience desirable.
• Knowledge of Python and PowerShell desirable.
• A good degree in a relevant subject.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the whole or an assigned portion of a design from preliminary specification through to verified software. The Senior Software Engineer provides expert knowledge of software design, test and verification

Job Functions

Requirements

Experience:

• Excellent understanding of C++.
• Experience of taking projects through the software development life cycle.

• Good understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• Experience with GUI/UX or HCI desirable.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) desirable.
