TrueNorth® is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – AI Infrastructure in London. You will contribute across backend and frontend, shaping the AI infrastructure that powers modern models while collaborating with a fast-moving team at a growing startup.

You’ll join a projected growth phase, work closely with the Head of Engineering, and expect a hybrid setup with onsite presence in London’s King’s Cross area.

Qualifications

• Strong full stack software engineering across backend and frontend.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Exposure to AI/ML environments; LLM/Ops experience valued.
• Genuine interest in AI infrastructure and modern models.
• GPU orchestration experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Join and help build out the London engineering function, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Senior Software Engineer – AI Infrastructure

£90,000–£120,000 base, with flexibility for exceptional profiles

We’re working with a well-funded technology startup operating at the intersection of software engineering and AI infrastructure.

The business is developing technology around GPU orchestration, helping improve how the compute behind AI and large language models is managed and utilised. With an established presence in the US, they’re now looking to build out their engineering capability in London.

They’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is genuinely comfortable across both backend and frontend development, with an interest in the infrastructure powering modern AI systems.

What they’re looking for

• Strong full stack software engineering experience across backend and frontend
• Solid software engineering fundamentals
• Exposure to, or understanding of, AI and machine learning environments
• LLM / LLM Ops experience would be particularly valuable
• GPU orchestration experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Genuine interest in AI infrastructure and the technology behind modern models
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
• Collaborative, communicative approach to engineering
• Someone keen to contribute to building a team and engineering culture in London

The opportunity

You’ll be joining at an important stage of growth and working closely with the Head of Engineering as the London engineering function is built out.

This is a hybrid role based in King’s Cross, with an expectation of approximately three days per week onsite.
