AI Startup in London (Hybrid) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, performant backend systems and contribute across the stack when needed. You will design end-to-end features with direct customer impact and help translate complex concepts with product and ML teams.

You will own architectural decisions, drive incremental improvements, and mentor junior engineers while shaping the future direction of the software function.

They are combining incredibly niche domain expertise with AI to conduct research and development in the physical world.

Role

• This is a backend-biased position but given the size of the team you will be working across the stack when needed
• Build scalable, performant systems
• Design and deliver end-to-end features with direct impact on customer value
• Work with product and ML teams to help translate abstract and complex concepts into concrete software
• Own key architectural decisions
• Continually make incremental improvements to their systems
• Help the team scale by mentoring junior team members
• Play a significant role in the future direction of the software function
