Job Description:

Our client is a global leader in consumer electronics and is undertaking an exciting new project expected to be widely available later this year.

As a result, they are looking for Software Engineers to help drive innovation and bring the plan to fruition.

The role involves, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Creating applications that run in the cloud
2. Co-working with UX designers and PM (planning) in an agile fashion to create user experience from scratch
3. Developing mobile applications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
2. Excellent understanding of networking (building connected applications)
3. Excellent understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns (e.g. SOLID)
4. Full stack UI/UX design and development experience e.g. node.js, ReactJS, Bootstrap
5. Use of JavaScript and at least one current JavaScript framework in a commercial setting
6. Experience with creating app business logic with JavaScript
7. Ability to express mobile app UX in HTML and CSS3
8. Experience in a variety of development languages including Go, Python, C, JavaScript, and Java
9. High disciplined approach to version control (Git, Stash, SVN or equivalent)
10. Knowledge of Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)

Mandatory Skills

1. Developed (or contributed to the development) of at least one mobile application that is publicly available through a mobile application store
2. Commercial experience (you are or have been a professional software developer)
3. Worked within a genuinely agile development environment
