Job summary

Cambridge Cognition is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Technology team. You’ll work on the CANTAB Connect platform, focusing on Patient Facing Apps and cross‑platform hybrid mobile features using React/TypeScript.

You will provide technical leadership, design scalable front-end solutions, collaborate with backend and data teams, and help modernise legacy systems while maintaining live studies. Hybrid work in Bottisham is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years commercial software development experience.
• 3+ years using JavaScript technologies (ES6, TypeScript, React & Redux).
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).
• Knowledge of security and privacy best practices.
• Ability to mentor others and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end features for patient- and clinician-facing apps.
• Build APIs and containerised services to support apps.
• Shape front-end/mobile architecture with senior engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and code reviews.Mentor teammates and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to deliver new features.
