Job summary

Cambridge Cognition is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Technology team. You’ll help build and maintain the patient-facing apps and the CANTAB Connect platform, delivering features across web and cross‑platform mobile apps used in clinical trials and academic research.

This role expects 5+ years in software development, strong JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Redux, test automation, and a mentoring mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
5+ years of commercial software development experience.
3+ years with JavaScript technologies (ES6, TypeScript, React/Redux).
Experience with automated testing at unit, integration and end-to-end levels.
Experience with security and privacy best practices.

Responsibilities

Write high-quality code and contribute to new and existing codebases.
Design, build and maintain features across patient- and clinician-facing apps.
Develop APIs and containerised services to support client-facing apps.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other developers.
Collaborate with Test Engineers to strengthen automated test coverage.
Shape front-end and mobile architecture with System Architect.
Partner with Product Managers to deliver new features; balance needs and feasibility.
Develop software within a regulated environment following standards for handling sensitive information.
