Job summary

Tact is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in Manchester to help transform a large monolithic platform into a modern, scalable microservices architecture. The role combines breaking down legacy modules with greenfield work to create new services from scratch.

You will contribute architectural decisions, ensure performance and reliability, and mentor other engineers as the platform evolves through continuous delivery and integration.

Senior .NET Developer - up to £70,000 + benefits - Manchester based, hybrid

For years, this platform has grown.

New features were added, more millions of customers came on board, integrations increased and the system became bigger and more complex.

Now the engineering challenge has changed.

The team is taking a large monolithic application and gradually breaking it down into a more modern, scalable microservices architecture.

That is where you come in.

You’ll help decide how parts of the existing platform should be separated, rebuilt and improved, then help create the new services that replace them.

And this isn’t just a legacy transformation project.

As the platform evolves, there is also a growing pipeline of greenfield work, giving you the chance to build new services and applications from scratch rather than spending all your time untangling old code.
