Job summary

Achieving for Children in Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and lead complex cases to safeguard children.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have significant child protection experience, with strong analytical, decision-making and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored care plans for children and families.
• Lead complex cases, provide supervision to junior social workers and support staff.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners for holistic safeguarding and support.
• Maintain accurate records in line with legislation and best practice.
• Participate in court proceedings and provide expert testimony as required.
