Job summary

Pro Social Partners, working with Bracknell Forest Council, are recruiting Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join the Safeguarding Team in Children's Social Care. This permanent role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary.

You will manage a caseload of children, complete strengths-based assessments, and develop safety plans with families and agencies. Senior Social Worker duties include mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality practice within a supportive authority.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, ideally safeguarding or child protection.
• Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Confidence working with complexity, risk, and multi-agency partners.
• Commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.
• Senior role requires mentoring and quality assurance of less experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children subject to child in need and child protection plans, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
• Complete high-quality, strengths-based assessments that clearly analyse risk, need, and protective factors.
• Build purposeful and trusting relationships with children, young people, and families to support lasting change.
• Develop and review robust safety and support plans alongside families and partner agencies.
• Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews, and court where required.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to reduce risk and promote family resilience.
