Job summary

Middlesbrough Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Safeguarding and Care Planning Team in Tees Valley. You will hold a caseload, undertake assessments and develop care plans to protect and support children and families.

The post requires a recognised social work qualification, current Social Work England registration, and solid post-qualification frontline experience. The temporary contract runs through March 2027 within a supportive local authority team.

Qualifications

• Must have recognised social work qualification and Social Work England registration.
• Experience in frontline children’s social work settings.
• Experience with safeguarding and care planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload within a safeguarding and care planning service.
• Undertake assessments to inform care planning and safeguarding decisions.
