Job summary

Cheshire East Council's Children’s Services is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their team and support vulnerable children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes. The role combines direct work with mentoring and coaching colleagues to deliver high-quality social work.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will manage a complex caseload, undertake assessments and interventions, and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure timely, right-fit support.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience of working with children and families in a statutory setting.
• Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage complexity and provide professional leadership to others.
• Commitment to relationship-based practice and achieving the best outcomes for children.
• Passion for continuous improvement and professional development.

• Managing a complex and varied caseload involving children, young people and families.
