Job summary

South Tyneside Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner for the Neighbourhood Wellbeing Team. The role leads practice improvement, supports staff with reflective supervision, and manages complex cases within a small caseload, while expanding CPD opportunities and career progression.

You will be a registered Social Worker with substantial post-qualification experience, driving best practice in Adult Social Care and embracing ongoing bespoke learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience relevant to role.
• Willingness to undertake bespoke learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust leadership in the Wellbeing team alongside managers.
• Co-work and manage a small, complex caseload with reflective supervision.
• Coach and mentor team members and students to raise practice standards.
• Support staff to deliver high-quality, strength-based social work.
