Job summary

Ardent Social Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker for the Localities Team in Kingston upon Thames. The role focuses on adult services, providing professional leadership and safeguarding expertise in a community setting.

You will work closely with the Team Manager to deliver locality services, supervise social workers, and ensure high standards of casework, risk assessment and service delivery across adults, carers and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified social work professional with strong Adult Social Care experience.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of legislation and policies underpinning Adult Social Care.
• Experience of working with adults, carers, families and partner agencies.
• Ability to analyse information and communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Manager with effective management and delivery of locality service.
• Provide professional advice and guidance on Adult Safeguarding, care management and legal matters.
• Promote high-quality casework analysis, risk assessment and decision-making.
• Support allocation, transfer and closure of cases, and balanced workloads.
• Deputies for the Team Manager to maintain continuity of service when required.
• Provide professional and managerial supervision to social work staff.
• Support staff development, performance management and CPD.
• Monitor service performance and contribute to high-quality service standards.
• Develop strong relationships with adults, carers, families and representatives.
• Work collaboratively with health services, hospitals, ICB and voluntary sector partners.
