Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Senior Social Worker for the Ipswich North East Social Care Team in Suffolk. You will lead complex casework, develop tailored care plans, and supervise junior staff while ensuring high standards of care and compliance.

You will assess needs, coordinate with families and multidisciplinary colleagues, and contribute to service development and ongoing training opportunities within a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in social work, preferably in a statutory setting.
• Knowledge of legislation and best practices in social care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead casework and develop individual care plans in partnership with clients and families.
• Provide supervision to junior social workers and students.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective interventions.
