Suffolk County Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Children’s Social Care team in Stowmarket. You will manage a substantial caseload, make high-stakes decisions, and coordinate with partner agencies to support children and families.

You will lead child protection investigations and plan targeted interventions, contributing to improved outcomes for Looked After Children and in Need cases.

Qualifikationen

• Experience managing a complex caseload and delivering social work practice with children and families.
• Ability to assess risk and needs and design effective interventions with outcome focus.
• Experience supervising and developing colleagues and contributing to reflective practice.

Aufgaben

• Manage a complex social work caseload (approx. 40 cases).
• Make autonomous professional decisions on highly complex cases with oversight as needed.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions to reduce risk for children and families.
• Coordinate with partner agencies to marshal support and resources.
• Lead Section 47 investigations to ensure thorough, timely enquiries.
