Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the First Response Team in Leicestershire. You will assess urgent needs, coordinate rapid interventions, and safeguard vulnerable individuals and families in crisis, shaping immediate support plans.

You will lead comprehensive assessments, develop care plans with multidisciplinary teams, supervise junior staff, liaise with external agencies, and ensure accurate documentation in line with regulations.

Qualifications

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in a social work setting, particularly within crisis intervention or emergency response.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage complex cases effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify risks and needs of individuals and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
