Job summary

London Borough of Hillingdon is recruiting social workers to join the Family Help Service. You will build trusted relationships with children, young people and families and lead assessments to inform Child In Need and Child Protection plans.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Social Work qualification (BA, MA or equivalent).
• Be registered with Social Work England.
• Have experience of working with children and families within statutory children's services.
• Demonstrate safeguarding knowledge, child development and practice frameworks.
• Possess excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills.
• Show a commitment to strengths-based, relationship-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Building trusted, relationship-based partnerships with children, young people and their families.
• Completing high-quality assessments that identify strengths, risks and support needs.
• Developing and delivering effective Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
• Leading purposeful interventions that improve safety, wellbeing and family resilience.
