West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced social worker to deliver strengths-based assessments in customers' homes and support hospital discharge pathways. The role involves hybrid working, with a Worthing office base and county-wide travel.

Applicants should be registered with Social Work England and have expertise in safeguarding and relevant legislation. The post is a fixed-term contract until 31/03/2027, offering a competitive salary of £41,177 to £48,738 per year and a 37-hour

Competenze

Experience of conducting strengths-based assessments in complex situations and developing effective plans.
Proven leadership skills in multi-agency settings to meet people’s outcomes.
Experience handling risk with a risk enablement approach and using evidence-based practice.
Ability to analyse complex information and prioritise needs to formulate intervention plans.
Experience leading safeguarding inquiries and ensuring compliance with legislation.
Desirable to hold a full driving licence.

Mansioni

Carry out strengths-based assessments in customers' homes following input from DORS.
Occasionally undertake hospital social work duties as part of the role.
Manage a complex caseload and develop personalised support plans to improve wellbeing.
Be flexible to work extended hours and travel county-wide, with some home working.
Ensure compliance with Social Work England standards and legislation in daily practice.
