Job description

Looked After Children | Supportive Senior Management | Flexible Working | Stable Service | Career progression

Leaders in care are looking for an experienced children’s social worker to join Gloucestershire County Council's Children in Care service as a senior social worker.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a small, close-knit team with a very supportive management structure. You can expect a competitive salary of £44,428.

The package also includes:

  • Annual retention payment of £2000
  • Welcome payment of £4000
  • 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service, with the option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year
  • Longstanding and supportive permanent senior management team
  • Career progression opportunities
  • A manageable caseload, cases split evenly across the service

Are you looking for a bit more work-life balance in your life? Not to worry, this council is offering the option of flexible working hours, which means you’re able to condense your hours over 4 days instead of 5, meaning a 3-day weekend. This council also operates under a hybrid working model, allowing you to save money on fuel as you’re able to work from home 60% of the time.

Due to our direct contact with this council, we will be on hand to support you every step of the way, as well as when you start your role.

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.

Please email your up-to-date CV to Chris@leadersincare.co.uk or call 07897 024978 for more information.

Also, if you know of a friend or colleague that may be interested in this role, we offer a £500 referral fee if we place the person you recommend.
