Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate. The role is based across Berwick-upon-Tweed and Alnwick, covering North Northumberland with a focus on person-centred practice and high-quality support for adults with disabilities, long-term conditions and mental health needs.

You will work autonomously on your caseload with supervision, ensuring Care Act duties are met and outcomes are improved through collaborative team

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and registered with Social Work England.
• Successful completion of UK Skills for Care ASYE programme.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to use a car for work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage own caseload with supervision.
• Receive regular supervision from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and Team Manager.
• Collaborate with NHS colleagues to support discharge planning and community health services.
