Work Pattern: Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

Location: Guildhall, Shrewsbury

Key Requirements

• Completing statutory duties including visits, holding core group meetings, attending court, and completing parenting assessments and risk assessments.
• Case Management / Court Teams: Working in the Case Management or Court Teams is a dynamic and exciting opportunity for a Social Worker who enjoys a varied caseload and working with families to ensure that children are safe and happy long term.
• Work with families in PLO and court with children who are looked after.
• In the Court Team, you would have a protected caseload of children subject to proceedings. Families are allocated depending on skills and experience, with support from the management team and other service areas.
• Hold a family through to permanence, whether this is a case closure, step down to Early Help, adoption, or transfer to the Looked After Children teams.
• Work with a wide range of partners, building positive relationships to support various interventions for children and families.

Skills & Experience

• A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Committed to supporting children, young people, and their families, with the resilience to go the extra mile to help them achieve their potential.
• Ability to think outside the box, challenge, and make evidence-based decisions.
• UK driving license.
• Willing to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
