Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a Social Worker to join our Children and Families Team in a frontline role. The post requires a Social Work qualification and a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in frontline work, with registration with Social Work England and access to a vehicle.

You will work on cases spanning CIN, CP, and Looked After Children, contributing to statutory functions and improving outcomes for children and families in a dynamic local authority setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years post-qualification experience in frontline child protection/referral and assessment.
• Social Work England registration is required.
• A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) is essential.
• Access to your own vehicle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Children and Families Team to support statutory decisions and outcomes for children and families.
• Engage with CIN and CP cases, and Looked After Children where relevant.
• Provide frontline social work interventions with appropriate safeguarding plans.

We are looking for a Social Worker to join our Children and Families Team

About the team

The team makes decisions and performs statutory functions to ensure the correct outcomes for children and their families are achieved. They do this by working with children from a range of services, such as CIN (Children in Need) and CP (Child Protection), and due to holding court cases, a few of the children are also in LAC (Looked After Children). Experience with PLO cases would be desirable but not essential.

About you

Knowledge and experience working within a fast-paced Frontline Team such as Child protection and Referral and assessment is essential for this role. You will also hold a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) As well as 3 years post qualifying experience.

You will need to have a Social Work England registration and access to your own vehicle.
