Hours: 37 per week

Salary: Grade 10 (£41,511.00-£44,711.00)

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Safeguarding Adult at Risk team for a senior social worker.

• We work with citizens aged 18 to 65 who have care and support needs primarily related to alcohol or substance abuse whose non-engagement with support is thought to be placing them at significant risk
• We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social worker with an excellent knowledge of safeguarding in the context of the Care Act to join our supportive team
• We utilise a multi-agency approach to work together with our partners to achieve the best outcomes for the people we work with
• We are a small, supportive team and provide regular supervision, peer support and bi-monthly group supervisions
• We encourage professional development and a learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your practice through post-qualifying opportunities, a host of safeguarding training modules and regular webinars

• Your main duties will be to lead on section 42 enquiries to establish the persons wishes and feelings, analyse presenting risks and implement protective measures
• You will also be required to complete Care Act section 9 and 11 assessments with a strengths-based approach to obtain a holistic view of the person's needs
• Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to manage complex cases while illustrating clear risk analysis and creative strategies for engagement and support

You will require a social work qualification and proven experience in working within adult safeguarding.
