Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking an experienced Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join the Practice Development Hub Team in Barnsley. The role focuses on supervising and mentoring newly qualified social workers during their Assessed and Supported Year in Practice, while guiding complex front-line cases to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

You will develop and deliver training aligned to the Barnsley Stronger Together model and collaborate with the QA team to embed

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
• Practice Educator qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, support, and guidance to newly qualified social workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in Practice.
• Support practitioners in front-line practice with complex case work and decision-making; promoting best outcomes for children.
• Develop and deliver training aligned to the Barnsley Stronger Together practice model to support learning and drive best practice across Children’s Social Care.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure that learning from audit is embedded in our training and development.
• Offer mentoring and support to colleagues.
