Sanctuary Personnel in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking an experienced Social Worker Advanced Practitioner to join the Specialist Assessments Team. This non-caseholding role focuses on delivering high-quality assessments that shape safeguarding and permanency planning, working in a full-time, agency setting.

You will produce evidence-based reports, collaborate with social workers and managers, attend Legal Planning Meetings and Court Hearings as needed, and stay current with guidance such as

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of specialist assessments (ParentAssess, including for parents with learning disabilities).
• Provide clear, evidence-based reports informing care planning and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with social workers and managers to support informed decision‑making.
• Attend Legal Planning Meetings and Court Hearings to provide expert insights as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, guidance and best practice, using ParentAssess, AIM3 and CASPR.
