Job Details
Undertake a range of management and care tasks.
Demonstrating leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role. Providing "on the job" coaching as necessary, overseeing and monitoring working practices. Working alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge.
Salary range £34,437.05 to £40,358.57, permanent contract, Monday to Friday standard working week with occasional weekend working, based in Glenrothes and on call/standby requirements
Staff development/training is provided, Qualifications to meet SSSC registration will be offered, Work phone will be provided as well as a pension scheme and staff discounts
The Person
Practice Qualification - SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 or equivalent. -Supervisory qualification - 15 credits at SCQF level 7 containing supervision /management theory and practice specifically for a supervisor of a care home. Full qualification - SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 9. Minimum of 3 years Social Care Experience and supervisory experience.
Team working skills, Experience of making effective decisions, Ability to engage and sustain relationships, Problem solving skills, Ability to motivate, delegating experience, Ability to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
Ability to travel within Fife.
