Hours: 48

Salary: £12.90 to £13.10 per hour (a higher range is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care)

Overview of the role

The Senior Social Care Worker is responsible for supporting and guiding a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with senior staff in the home and report any concerns. You should have experience in the care sector, along with a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge. Your work will make a significant difference in people's lives, and you'll have opportunities for days out, trips, and activities, all aimed at ensuring residents are safe, happy, and lead fulfilling lives.

Key duties

  • Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care setting
  • Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
  • Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
  • Completing tasks professionally, promptly, and accurately
  • Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food and dining
  • Assisting residents with daily activities, both within and outside the home
  • Using your initiative to support residents during activities and daily tasks
