BDO LLP is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead the Security Operations Centre, directing threat monitoring, detection and incident response. Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Security Operations Centre teams and multi-tier detection and response services.
• Extensive background in Security Operations, Threat Monitoring, Incident Response and Cyber Defence.
• Experience coordinating major cyber incident investigations and cross-functional response.
• Experience engaging with third-party security service providers and MSSPs.
• Proven people leadership including coaching and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of monitoring frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls).
• Experience automating SIEM technologies and detection engineering (XDR).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security tech and cloud security capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the SOC analysts and oversee service delivery and performance.
• Coordinate complex cyber investigations and incident response activities.
• Drive detection engineering, use-case development and automation within SOC.
• Enhance monitoring with threat hunting and reduce false positives.
• Translate risk to monitoring strategies and security controls for the organisation.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture, Vulnerability Management, and Governance teams.
• Manage relationships with MSSPs and security vendors against SLAs and KPIs.
• Provide security reporting to senior stakeholders and support audits.
