Job summary

BDO UK LLP is seeking a Senior SOC Manager to lead our Security Operations Centre, overseeing threat monitoring, incident response, and coordination with MSSPs to deliver resilient cyber security services for clients and colleagues.

The role combines strategic direction with hands‑on leadership, mentoring analysts, and driving improvements in detection and response capabilities within a growing UK security program.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams and managing multi‑tier detection and response services.
• Extensive experience in Security Operations, Threat Monitoring, Incident Response and Cyber Defence.
• Demonstrable experience leading major cyber incident investigations and response activities.
• Experience engaging with and managing third‑party cyber security service providers and managed security services.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor SOC analysts, overseeing service delivery and performance.
• Support career development and ensure the team operates to high standards.
• Contribute to wider Cyber Security strategy and roadmaps.
• Translate cyber threat intelligence into effective monitoring strategies and controls.
• Coordinate response activities across technical teams and MSSPs during incidents.
