Job summary

N Consulting in London is seeking a Senior SOC/IR Specialist to join on a contract basis. The role focuses on day-to-day operational SOC activities, threat detection, triage, and incident response, with limited emphasis on engineering or projects.

You will lead incident response across diverse environments, develop automation workflows and scripts, and contribute to detection engineering, threat hunting, and proactive investigations while collaborating with the SOC team using Splunk and 7AI.

Qualifications

• Experience in SOC operations and incident response.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two areas: MacOS endpoints; Linux in cloud; microservices/containers; AI tooling for SOC automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational SOC support with real-time threat detection, triage, and incident response.
• Lead and manage incident response activities across diverse environments.
• Develop and implement automation workflows and scripts using AI tooling.
• Collaborate with SOC teams to ensure effective monitoring using Splunk and 7AI.
