Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to monitor and improve security operations. You will configure SIEM and vulnerability tools, respond to alerts, and mentor junior analysts.

The role requires experience in SOC environments, incident response, and threat analysis, with a focus on continuous improvement and meeting KPIs. UK security clearance will be pursued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
• Experience with SIEMs and evaluating SIEM alerts.
• Experience in log aggregation and correlation tools (Splunk preferred).
• Experience interpreting system, application and network device logs.
• Experience in packet capture and analysis.
• Experience in responding to security alerts and data-based investigations.
• Experience in alert rule creation and development (SNORT, YARA, SIEM).
• Experience in environment threat modeling.
• Experience in identifying and handling security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Security Specialist/Security Manager/Functional Lead in identifying and monitoring security risks.
• Identify improvements in tooling and processes to align with industry best practices.
• Configure and utilise SIEM, vulnerability management, and security tooling.
• Innovate in SIEM/SOC and develop best practice.
• Mentor and oversee development of junior analysts.
• Work to defined SLAs & KPIs.
• Support incident response as required.
