Job summary

Fynity Limited in Farnborough is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to defend national security programmes. The role is fully on-site with a 24/7 shift pattern, investigating alerts and supporting incident response in secure defence environments.

You will improve detections using MITRE ATT&CK, SIEMs like Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk, and produce clear incident reports for stakeholders. DV clearance is required or eligible; sole British nationality is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven SOC Analyst experience with investigations beyond initial alert.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk).
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and networking for enterprise security.

Up to £58,000 + 20% shift allowance (£69,600 combined)

I’m working with an established consultancy looking for Senior SOC Analysts to join its Farnborough SOC. You’ll investigate complex threats, support live incident response and strengthen detections across secure defence and aerospace environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Investigating alerts using SIEM, endpoint telemetry, network traffic and logs.
• Supporting incident response, escalation and containment.
• Improving detection rules and playbooks aligned to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Producing clear incident reports and contributing to proactive threat detection.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven SOC Analyst experience and confidence taking investigations beyond the initial alert.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or a similar SIEM.
• A strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, networking and enterprise security tools.

Clearance requirements:

Applicants must be sole British nationals, have lived in the UK for the past 10 years and be eligible to undergo DV clearance.
