Job summary

Bonhill Partners Ltd is supporting a Global Investment Bank in its search for a Snowflake Engineer within the Risk Team. This senior role will drive a risk reporting migration and data platform enhancements.

You will design, develop and optimise Snowflake data pipelines, write complex SQL, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure governance and reporting accuracy across risk domains.

Qualifications

• Senior Data Engineer with Snowflake experience in financial services.
• Proven SQL expertise including complex queries and analytical functions.
• Experience building data models and data governance for reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise Snowflake data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformation logic.
• Support migration of legacy data warehouses and reporting platforms into Snowflake.
• Build and maintain data models, tables, views and curated reporting datasets.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and reconciliation processes.
• Implement automated data quality checks, validation and exception handling.
• Support risk reporting across Credit Risk, Market Risk and Counterparty Risk.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver programme objectives.
