Job summary

Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks a Senior Snowflake Developer for a hybrid London contract (4 days on-site per week). You will help move legacy data platforms to Snowflake, dbt and Python, shaping the future-state architecture for risk and regulatory reporting.

You will design, build and optimise ELT/ETL pipelines, tune queries for cost and performance, and collaborate with senior stakeholders on high-profile programmes.

Qualifications

• Extensive Snowflake experience with dbt for transformation and deployment.
• Advanced Python development for data engineering and automation.
• Strong SQL Server skills including design, optimization and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable Snowflake data solutions for risk, finance and regulatory reporting.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines and reusable dbt transformation frameworks.
• Develop Python-based processing, automation and integration, and design dimensional data models.
• Tune Snowflake queries and workloads for performance and cost, and resolve production issues.
• Support migration of legacy platforms to the cloud and contribute to standards.
• Lead requirements workshops with business stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
