Job summary

UST in London is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design of a modern enterprise data platform with Snowflake and Data Governance at its core. This hands-on role shapes data strategy, builds scalable cloud solutions, and sets governance standards for quality, lineage, security and accessibility.

You will design data models (Data Vault 2.0, dimensional modelling), implement Snowflake capabilities, manage RBAC and data masking, oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate with engineers,

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience designing and architecting Snowflake solutions.
• Strong expertise in enterprise Data Governance and data-quality frameworks.
• Advanced SQL and strong cloud-platform knowledge (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 and/or dimensional modelling.
• Understanding of MDM, data lineage, metadata and data cataloguing.
• Experience with governance/catalogue platforms such as Alation, Collibra or Atlan.
• Knowledge of RBAC and data security.
• Ability to communicate complex architecture decisions to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Data Platform design and evolution using Snowflake.
• Lead Data Governance, data quality, lineage and metadata management.
• Design secure, compliant data solutions with RBAC and masking.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Define architecture standards and roadmaps translating business needs.
• Influence senior stakeholders across IT and business.
