Job summary

The NHS Speech and Language Therapy service within the Workplace Doctors region invites an experienced Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join the Adult team for 37.5 hours per week. You will assess, diagnose and manage adult cases, including potential dysphagia training, in acute and future community settings.

The post emphasises collaboration with therapists and clerical support for CPD and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential to practice in the UK.
• Overseas applicants require IELTS or OET with specified scores.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to diverse caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and manage adult patients using clinical judgement.
• Produce reports and treatment plans, and adapt to cultural/linguistic needs.
• Liaise with other Health, Education and Social Care professionals.
• Engage in supervision, CPD and departmental policies and audits.
• Provide community or domiciliary visits as needed; participate in team meetings.
