Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a senior role within an intensive support team. You will work within a multiagency network including psychology, nursing and occupational therapy to support young people with learning disabilities and autism who have complex needs.

You will develop specialist assessments, formulations and interventions, supervise trainees and provide consultation.

Qualifications

• Senior level SLT with extensive experience in learning disabilities and autism.
• Experience working in multiagency settings with psychology, nursing and OT.
• Proven ability to supervise and train others in SLT concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist SLT assessments and develop formulations.
• Design and implement intervention plans for complex cases.
• Collaborate with social care, education and CAMHS teams.
• Provide supervision, training and consultancy to colleagues.
