Job summary

ARM is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and observability of cloud infrastructure in Manchester. You will drive SLO-based improvements, lead SREs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed reliability into design and delivery.

Responsibilities include building IaC, CI/CD improvements, capacity planning, and on-call escalation. This role requires strong communication and a calm, methodical approach to incidents.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in SRE, DevOps or infrastructure engineering running production services at scale.
• Proven record of improving reliability against defined SLOs.
• Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring engineers.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Calm, structured problem solving under pressure during incidents.

Role overview

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) owns the reliability, observability and operational health of one or more areas of the cloud infrastructure, and leads the SREs working in that area. They use service level objectives (SLOs) to decide which operational improvements matter most, and they build the engineering capability of the team around them.
