Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead a £10m new-build cancer treatment facility in Brighton. The role is site-based with full accountability for delivery from start to finish.

You will coordinate construction works, civils, and fit-out, manage the programme, and maintain strong client relationships to keep the project on track. The contract is around ten months with potential future work across the South.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record as Senior Site Manager or Project Manager on multi-million pound construction projects.
• Experience taking projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Strong programme management skills; ability to manage the programme and amend it.
• Client-facing experience and ability to communicate commercially.
• Proficient with project management software.

Senior Site Manager - Newbuild healthcare project with a minimum duration on 10 months

About you

If you are an experienced Senior Site Manager/Site Based Project Manager who enjoys having real ownership of a project, this could be a very good next move for you.

You will be site based on a £10m new build cancer treatment facility in Brighton, taking responsibility for the project from start to finish. It is a sizeable and technically interesting scheme, covering everything from the initial new build and £2m civils package through to the final fit out.

You will need to be confident dealing with the client, making decisions on site and keeping the project moving without needing someone looking over your shoulder. There will be a visiting Contracts Manager for support, although you will be the person accountable for the day to day delivery of the project.

The role is paying around £(Apply online only)/day depending on experience, There is an opportunity to stay with the business beyond this project as they have further work coming through across the South.

Your experience

You will need a strong track record as a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager, ideally having delivered multi million pound construction projects from start to finish.

You will need:

• Experience managing multi million pound new build projects
• Experience taking projects from pre construction through to completion
• Strong programme management skills, including the ability to amend and manage the programme
• Experience working with clients and being confident in a client facing role
• Strong IT skills and the ability to use relevant project management software

What you will be doing with your experience

You will manage the construction process from start to finish, coordinating the new build works, civils package, subcontractors and fit out through to completion.

A big part of the role will be managing the programme and making sure it remains realistic and achievable. You will need to identify issues early, make decisions and keep everyone focused on the delivery plan.

You will also be the key person on site when it comes to client communication, so being comfortable building relationships and having commercially sensible conversations is important.

The project is expected to run for around ten months, although the business has further projects planned across the South and is looking for someone they can potentially retain for future work.
