Senior Site Manager

Cambridge Tier 1 Main Contractor
£65,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Bonus

Ridgeway & Co are working with a leading UK main contractor, looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their Cambridgeshire team, delivering a range of high-quality new build and refurbishment schemes across the region.

With a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects in the education, healthcare, commercial, and residential sectors (among others), this contractor offers the opportunity to join a well-structured, forward-thinking team with a solid pipeline of work.

The Role

As a Senior Site Manager, you ll play a key role in leading project delivery on-site from pre-construction through to handover. You ll be responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, H&S, quality, and programme, ensuring every aspect of the build meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Full day-to-day management of site operations
  
• Liaising with project managers, design teams, and commercial leads
  
• Managing health & safety compliance on site
  
• Coordinating subcontractors and managing build programme
  
• Ensuring high quality standards across all works
  
• Overseeing site documentation, reports, and progress meetings
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a main contractor
  
• Strong understanding of construction processes, H&S legislation, and project programming
  
• Background in delivering projects within the education, healthcare, or commercial sectors is beneficial
  
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
