Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd seeks a Senior Site Manager for a Birmingham high-rise development. You will support the Project Manager, manage key packages, lead subcontractors and drive safety, quality and programme milestones on a complex 2-year scheme.

Essential site credentials are required, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work, with a Midlands-based contractor offering long-term progression.

• CSCS (Black or White Card preferred) is required to access site.
• First Aid at Work is in date and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in overall site operations.
• Take responsibility for key packages and daily site activity.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors.
• Drive programme, quality and health & safety performance.
• Manage logistics and sequencing on a high-rise scheme.
• Chair subcontractor meetings and manage short-term programmes.
• Mentor Site Managers and Engineers where required.

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Package

Contractor: Midlands-Based Main Contractor

Project: 2-Year Secured Project

The Project

• £140m high-rise BTR development
• Large-scale multi-room / apartment scheme
• Major structural and complex build programme
• 2-year duration with strong continuity of work beyond

The Role

• Support the Project Manager in overall site operations
• Take responsibility for key packages and daily site activity
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors
• Drive programme, quality and health & safety performance
• Manage logistics and sequencing on a high-rise scheme
• Chair subcontractor meetings and manage short-term programmes
• Mentor Site Managers and Engineers where required

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience on multi-room / apartment / high-rise schemes
• Experience delivering large commercial or residential projects
• Strong knowledge of programme management and sequencing
• Confident managing subcontractors on complex builds
• Ambitious and looking to progress within a growing contractor
