Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a Site Manager to lead the Anaerobic Digestion Facility in Ashington and guide the site operations team. You will ensure safe, efficient and compliant performance while contributing to environmental and commercial outcomes.

You will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for driving profitability, maintaining plant and equipment, and developing a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical process, production, waste management or anaerobic digestion facility.
• Ability to manage budgets while ensuring compliance and performance.
• Strong commercial awareness and team leadership skills.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you\'ll lead the day-to-day management of the Anaerobic Digestion Facility, with direct responsibility for the Assistant Site Manager and site operations team. You\'ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and compliant operations while helping drive the site\'s environmental and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading daily operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient site performance.
• Managing budgets, maximising revenue opportunities and supporting operational profitability.
• Ensuring plant, equipment and machinery are maintained to the highest standards.
• Driving a positive safety culture and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Building a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement, customer service and operational excellence.
  

What are the requirements?

We\'re looking for a confident leader with experience managing a technical process, production, waste management or anaerobic digestion facility.

• Proven experience in a Site Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar operational leadership role.
• Ability to manage a complex, highly technical process while maintaining budgetary control and compliance standards.
• Strong commercial awareness, decision-making skills and the ability to lead and develop teams.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A COTC qualification in Anaerobic Digestion and a NEBOSH General Certificate would be advantageous.
