Job summary

Walker & Sloan are recruiting an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton. You will direct site operations, drive safety, quality and programme performance, and manage site teams and subcontractors.

Ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering large-scale construction projects for a main contractor, with CSCS Managers Card and construction qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering major construction projects for a main contractor.
• Experience managing large site teams and coordinating multiple work packages.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, health & safety and QA.
• Demonstrated leadership to motivate teams and manage client, consultant and subcontractor relationships.
• Membership with CIOB or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations across a major construction project to deliver on time and within budget.
• Oversee Site Managers, subcontractors and trades, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and leadership to drive programme performance.
• Ensure adherence to risk, quality and commercial objectives.

Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding specialist contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join one of the UK's most prestigious live data centre developments.

Our client has established an exceptional reputation for delivering highly complex construction projects across the Data Centre, Defence and Energy sectors. With over four decades of specialist expertise, they continue to deliver technically challenging schemes for some of the world's leading organisations.

This opportunity will see you joining a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton, where you'll play a pivotal leadership role in the successful delivery of a landmark project from construction through to completion.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for leading site operations across a major construction project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and commercial objectives.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider leadership team, you'll oversee Site Managers, subcontractors, and specialist trades while driving high standards across health & safety, quality, and programme performance.

About You

You'll have a proven track record of successfully delivering major construction projects for a main contractor, with experience managing large site teams and coordinating multiple work packages simultaneously.

You'll possess a strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, health & safety, programme management, and quality assurance, alongside the leadership skills needed to motivate teams and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Ideally, you'll hold an HNC, Degree or equivalent construction qualification, together with a CSCS Managers Card, while professional membership with CIOB or a similar organisation would be advantageous.
