Job summary

NG Bailey in the UK is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the HS2 project based in Denham, Buckinghamshire. You will act as the senior site lead, taking overall responsibility for day-to-day management and coordinating on-site teams to deliver works safely, on time and to required quality standards.

This high-profile role requires strong M&E/building services knowledge, solid programme management skills and the ability to drive the delivery team through to project completion and

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading construction delivery on major or complex projects.
• Strong M&E/building services knowledge with mechanical and/or electrical background.
• Experience as a senior site lead / Black Hat or equivalent leadership role.
• Solid understanding of construction programmes, sequencing, QA/QC and commissioning.
• Capable of managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Decisive, proactive on-site problem solving and ownership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall day-to-day leadership and control of site activities.
• Coordinate construction teams, subcontractors and site resources.
• Drive the construction programme and hit milestones.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and site management.
• Oversee the delivery and coordination of M&E/building services installations.
• Identify and resolve site issues to keep delivery on track.
• Lead site meetings and provide direction to the delivery team.
• Work with Project Director, commercial, engineering and commissioning teams to completion and handover.
